Twenty-first century app-based alternatives are also available, such as Ola and Uber. Nearby tourist spots like Alibaug and Elephanta are easily accessible by regularly scheduled commuter ferries and private boats for hire.
Although by global standards the climate here feels humid throughout the year because the city sits along the coast, Mumbai does have three distinct seasons — summer, winter and the monsoon. The winter months between November and February offer visitors optimal conditions as humidity eases up and days feel pleasant with temperatures between 17-31 degrees Celsius. Summer arrives in March with hot and humid weather which lasts through May. June to September is monsoon season, when heavy rains lash the city.
