TIPS FOR DOLPHIN WATCHING IN MUSCAT

Looking forward to seeing dolphins leap out from the water with your very own eyes? Here are some simple tips to ensure you have a truly unforgettable and amazing experience during your dolphin watching tour in Muscat:

  1. The best times to book a dolphin watching tour are between October and May, coinciding with Oman’s winter, spring, and early summer seasons.
  2. Hope for bright and sunny weather on the day of your tour, as the dolphins will be more likely to emerge from the water.
  3. Don’t be afraid to bring young children along the tour – but do remember to pack seasickness medication just in case!
  4. As many dolphin tours operate within the Marina Bandar Al Rowdha area, check the specific boarding location of your boat to ensure you board the right vessel.
  5. Bring sunglasses and hats to fend off the bright and blinding Omani sunlight, as well as a light sweater in the cooler months in case of winds.
  6. Remember to pack your passport and other essentials into your bag in case you need identification, and keep them in a secure pocket so you don’t risk losing them overboard.
  7. Charge your camera and phone batteries the previous night to ensure you won’t miss out on that once-in-a-lifetime photo opportunity!
  8. Find out if your tour operator also offers other attraction packages such as whale watching, turtle sighting, or water sports, to make the most of your time on the water.
